The Silencer™ line of FDA-approved oral appliances is capable of both anterior-posterior and vertical adjustment through 10mm. This unique ability is made possible by a titanium hinge manufactured specifically for the Silencer appliance. The design of the hinge also permits lateral movement of the mandible, retaining the integrity of the temporomandibular joint. The hinge carries a five-year warranty.

Three component materials are used to fabricate the Silencer.

• The body is constructed of elastomere. Elastomere is a pliable plastic and offers the patient a greater degree of comfort than harder acrylic materials.
• Additional support is provided by acrylic bite pads situated in the molar regions. These bite pads offer needed protection for the dentition as well as the temporomandibular joint.
• "A commencially pure titanium" hinge ("articulating component") allows for the numerous adjustment options.

Silencer Professional:

Comes standard with a 5mm titanium hinge. It is intended for the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.

Silencer Professional Heavy Hinge:

Comes standard with a durable 6mm titanium "heavy hinge" perfect for treating snoring and obstructive sleep apnea in patients who brux during the night.
